Code Aster: One week basic course

From 26th to 30th of September, a one week course will be delivered by Dr-Ing. Johannes Ackva.

The course is intended for mechanical / computational engineers concerned with design and simulation of mechanical structures. Pre and Postprocessing with Salome and executing analyses using Code-Aster will be taught. The most common element types and Load and Boundary conditions of Code-Aster are treated as well how to define materials and properties.


Main focus, as the course is an introduction to Code-Aster, are linear analyses (linear statics, eigenmodes, buckling). Moreover a first approach to nonlinearity is given with modeling of contact and material .nonlinearity
